This article describes a study that examined the effects of computer assisted instruction (CAI) on the achievement and attitudes of vocational nursing students in a pharmacology math course. The findings revealed no significant difference in the achievement of students who used CAI as compared with a group who used work sheets. The attitude of the students changed, however, with the CAI group demonstrating a positive attitude and those not using CAI demonstrating a negative shift in attitude
