摘要:
CosentiniaTod. was established as monotypic genus for the species(Cosentinia vellea)which nowadays is mostly namedNotholaena lanuginosaorCheilanthes vellea, and ascribed to the family of the Sinopteridaceae. The species sharply differs in various characteristics and particularly in the spore morphology both fromNotholaenaandCheilanthes, and therefore it can be included in neither of these genera. It finds the best position in the genus established by Todaro. The comparison ofCosentiniawith other genera of the Pteridineae, has also shown that this genus cannot be ascribed to the Sinopteridaceae, from which it manifestly differs; indeed, for its peculiar spore morphology and other features, it is clearly allied to some genera of Hemionitidaceae and especially toAnogrammaandPityrogramma, as well as, even if in lesser degree, toEriosomsandJamesonia.Consequently,Cosentiniais ascribed to the family of Hemionitidaceae (syn.: Gymnogrammaceae, nom. illeg.).
