SummarySerum alkaline phosphatase inheritance was studied in 126 racing homer pigeons{Columba livid).Discontinuous polyacrylamide electrophoresis was used. Gels were stained with Blue RR salts with alphanaphthyl phosphate as a substrate. Seven pheno‐types were found. Inheritance was postulated to be by four codominant alleles. Gene frequencies were:q.ApA, 0.284;qApB, 0.602;qApC, 0.45; andqApD, 0.6
