Summary1One hundred and fifty‐seven consecutive intracranial tumours encountered at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, South India, have been studied and classified.2The history of the classification of the glioma group has been discussed and the relation of astrocytoma and glioblastoma in terms of age, site and sex has been analyzed.
