AbstractBased on a two‐dimensional potential flow theory, earthquake‐induced hydrodynamic pressures on a rigid dam with a non‐vertical upstream face are examined by the Trefftz method. The effect of surface waves on the hydrodynamic pressure distribution is discussed in detail.
