摘要:
Proteinuria in an asymptomatic patient requires careful differentiation; if it is transient or postural, which can be determined by relatively simple approaches, the prognosis is good, especially in younger patients. The older patient in whom no primary cause is apparent presents a more difficult problem. In such cases the renal biopsy is essential to establish the diagnosis and open the way to optimal management.
