摘要:
The dynamics of an asymmetric top molecule in an external magnetic field is developed. The resulting classical Hamiltonian is in a form which is suitable for the transition to quantum mechanics. The formulation utilizes a velocity-dependent potential to introduce the magnetic field. Particular care is taken to establish the proper relation between the conjugate coordinates and the components of total angular momentum.
