摘要:
This article describes a unique nursing elective offered to senior baccalaureate students that encourages the student to look at the chronically ill client from a wellness perspective. Conceptual framework, content, and clinical settings are described with emphasis on the use of a wellness model using the framework of the nursing process. As the last course in the senior year, this provides an opportunity for students to concentrate on rehabilitation nursing and be prepared to practice in a rehabilitation setting after graduation. Readers will identify key concepts inherent in a course in rehabilitation nursing focusing on wellness.
