摘要:
AbstractA method has been developed to determine the time to 50% static recrystallisation as a function of process variables using a minimum number of tests. The method utilises current knowledge of the rate of post-dynamic recrystallisation (also termed metadynamic recrystallisation) to provide a starting point for testing. The significance of this is that the rate of post-dynamic static recrystallisation varies only slightly with strain, temperature, grain size, and composition. An example is given where the effect of strain and temperature on the recrystallisation of a large grained C–Mn steel was determined from only 12 tests. The results provided considerable detail related to the change from conventional static to post-dynamic static recrystallisation, and the strain and temperature sensitivity of the conventional static recrystallisation reaction.MST/3422
