SummaryImmunofluorescent investigations were done in two patients who had chronic bullous dermatosis of childhood. Both patients had fibrinogen deposited at the dermo‐epidermal junction in a broad continuous band in the lesional and perilesional skin and one patient had IgA in the perilesional skin only. No circulating antibodies were found using human skin as substrate. This extent and pattern of fibrinogen deposition with or without IgA at the dermoepidermal junction may be peculiar to chronic bullous dermatosis of childhoo
