摘要:
This article is a write-up of an invited talk given at a national meeting of the American Statistical Association. It discusses the problem of getting people to use statistics properly and emphasizes the importance of using good logic in drawing inferences from statistics. The job of a good statistical consultant is to sponsor the use of correct logic in his or her client's activities. Statisticians in general should be interested in finding more and better ways of introducing good logic at early levels of the education process.
