Some recent developments in the field of radiative corrections to weak interactions in the framework of gauge theories are discussed. The main emphasis is on the question of radiative corrections to superallowed Fermi transitions and the closely connected problem of Cabibbo universality, and some general properties of the radiative corrections to semileptonic&Dgr;Q = 1processes. Recent estimates for the rare decay modes of K mesons are also briefly discussed. The analyses reported here have been carried out in the framework of simple hadronic extensions of theSU(2)L × U(1)gauge model of Weinberg and Salam.
