There are currently many “bone fill” materials available for procedures associated with the insertions of implants. From sinus lift procedures to the filling of voids left at natural tooth/root extraction sites, the uses of either allograft or xenograft materials require clarification and direction. Lecturers, for the most part, anecdotally advocate the use of one bone fill material for all implant related procedures, at the exclusion of all others.In your opinion, when bone fill materials are indicated, in conjunction with or prior to implant placement, are there preferences for the use of different bone fill materials in different implant-related situations? And, do you have a preference of one or two or more bone fill materials that you would advocate as directives to other implant clinicians?
