Implications of Allan's redefinition (1933) of the Awamoan Stage are assessed using stratigraphic trends in the lineages ofHaeuslerella pukeuriensisParr andGlobigerinoides trilobus trilobus(Reuss) observed in the section at “Old Rifle Butts”, Oamaru.
