It's not easy to remember how the world seemed to us when we were children, and nurses caring for critically ill children often wonder how well their patients understand the events occurring in the intensive care unit. This study explores children's perceptions of intubation, and offers concrete guidelines that the critical care nurse can use to help children undergoing this procedure.
