摘要:

The vacancy formation energy in units of the melting temperature can be approximated for close-packed metals in terms of the difference in specific heats and the long wavelength limit of the liquid structure factor. Here, some results are first presented ford-electron metals to complement earlier data ons-pmetals. Secondly, contact is made with the semiempirical treatment of Miedema.
