AbstractBased on a comparative morphological study (including type material)Neckera laeviusculaGeh. in Herz.,Neckera besseri(Lob.) Jur. andHomalia webbianaMont., which have been treated as conspecific, are shown to be distinct species. The differences betweenHomaliaandNeckeraare discussed andNeckera besseriis placed in the genusHomaliaas originally described.
