Twelve V-shaped metacentrics are being reported for the first time to occur in a karyotype of a snake.2.The fundamental chromosome number is 48.3.Meiosis runs normally in this species and the males are homogametic.4.Few tetraploid secondary spermatocytes with 36 univalent chromosomes are observed.5.Dot-shaped chromosomes are not comparable to m-chromosomes of Coreidae.
