In this paper we study the instability aspects of (proportional + derivative) controlled non-linear and/or time-varying feedback systems. It is interesting that in the course of derivations we meet with a new set of non-linearities {Fi} which is an intermediate type between the Popov {Fp} type and the monotone {Fm} type of first and third quadrant non-linearities.
