AbstractThe effects of simulated summer night frost on actively growing Scots pine seedlings were studied in environmental plant growth chambers. Exposure to temperatures ranging from −4.5°C to −7.5°C caused ultrastructural alterations in the mesophyll cells of visually healthy cotyledons and primary needles of pine seed
