Computer-based training (CBT) will play an increasingly important role in the education of emergency medical professionals. Programs ranging from text-based applications to sophisticated multimedia simulations will dramatically change the way we teach and learn. As CBT increases, program management will quickly become a critical issue. In the future, virtual reality programming will provide an educational environment that will be able to duplicate any clinical experience.
