摘要:
AbstractThe purpose of this study was to build upon earlier research into the relationships among locus of control, organizational unit structure, job satisfaction, and registered nurses' intentions to remain in their positions. The data were collected by a questionnaire from 214 registered nurses from adult critical care units within 12 hospitals in two Midwestern cities. The best predictor of intent to stay was satisfaction with work activities (R= .43,p$.05). Satisfaction with job remuneration, lower level of nursing education, and less intent to continue work toward a advanced degree or to do work‐related educational activities also contributed to intent to stay on the job (R= .52,p$.05
