The Fourth International Congress on Catalysis, Moscow, June 23–29, 1968, was directed largely to the problems involved in the prediction of catalytic action. Most of the 86 papers presented and discussed were concerned directly with this main topic; however, several were devoted to such related topics as mechanism of catalytic reactions, structural studies, and mechanisms of chemisorption.
