Information technology has been judged the single most underrated force for change in business strategic planning. A major part of the problem is how organizations (and even public-sector businesses) go about assessing information technology's potential to improve overall business performance. An enhanced IS strategic plan that addresses related risks can effectively guide the organization to capture the full impact of information technology.
