At the European Regional conference of the International Labour Organization held at Geneva froin 26 January to 5 February 1955. Professor Edgard Milhaud, representing the International Cooperative Alliance, drew attention to the important part which might be played by labour cooperatives in a programme of economic and social renewal designed to achieve increased productivity.
