The problems of direction-finding which are peculiar to ships are discussed.A method of regarding the action of a ship on wireless waves is given, as well as means of correcting for the deviations so produced. The precautions to be observed in the calibration of a ship direction-finder are indicated. A laboratory method of investigating the action of metal structures is described, and the use of multiple-aerial systems is considered.
