AbstractThis paper presents the formulation and the numerical implementation of a three‐dimensional direct boundary element method for the Biot theory of poroelasticity. To avoid the need of time‐stepping and volume integration, the solution is performed in the Laplace transform space. Solution in time is obtained via numerical inversion.
