Three stromatoporoid species,Baastadiostroma typicagen. et sp. n,Scaniostroma gracilisgen. et sp. n., andNeuropora scamense sp. n. from the Campanian of Skåne, Sweden, are described. A new superfamilyNeuroporicae, is suggested for the neuroporids.Neuroporicaeis characterized by its microstructure, which consists of elongated trabeculae arranged in a cone-in-cone pattern.Baastadiostromais placed in a new family,Baastadiostromidae, which is characterized by the presence of a circumlamellar microstructure.
