摘要:
Effect of soil salinity on two cultivars (Mexi‐Pak and H‐68) of wheat (Triticum aestivum) was studied in a pot culture experiment. Straw and grain weight decreased with increasing salinity in both the cultivars but cv. Mexi‐Pak was comparatively more sensitive than cv. H‐68. The toxicity of salts was more prominant at the early growth stages. Height of plants at maturity was not affected. Nutrient contents generally decreased with the age of plants. Phosphorus and sodium increased while potassium and calcium generally decreased with salts.
