We simulate by means of computer the signals obtained in a level-crossing experiment, when the detection is made by multichannel sampling and photon correlation techniques applied to the fluorescence intensity as a function of time. From the simulated signals we study the errors with which the crossing field and width of the signal are obtained, and we compare the results obtained by both techniques.
