摘要:
AbstractThe emergence of renaissance science in Europe had its effect on land survey practice in Tudor England. In this paper the work of Edward Worsop is cited to show how some of these influences changed land surveying from a mediaeval practice with magical and sinister connotations to a recognisably modern technique, founded on geometrical principles, with a professional attitude on the part of its practitioners.
