AbstractThe Foundation's 1989 (25th) Annual Lecture We have today the capacity to restore or achieve a reasonable equilibrium with Nature. The creation of the large integrated European Market of 1992 gives the EC the historic opportunity to ensure that necessary changes to the fundamental structure of the EC economy take full account of the environmental dimension. The firm hope and intention is that together we can work for a better planet for all.
