摘要:

Serum levels of thyroxine and triidothyronine were estimated in 24 workers engaged in contraceptive pills industry and 20 control subjects. Serum thyroxine in exposed subjects was significantly lower compared to its level in controls. On the contrary, triiodothyronine was significantly higher in exposed workers. So, it is concluded that exposure to the dust of contraceptive drugs, namely estrogen and progesterone, produced disturbances in thyroid gland function and thyroid hormone metabolism.
