“I will produce enough rain to fill the Moreno Reservoir to overflowing, between now and December 20th, for the sum of $10,000. I will deliver the first thirty inches of rainfall at no charge. But you will pay me $500 per inch, for the next twenty inches. Should I fail to deliver as promised, I ask for no compensation whatever.”
