Trials using glyphosate were carried out in forest plantations in Papua New Guinea. Weed control in three types of plantation was examined:a.plantations in grasslands dominated byImperata cylindrica(L.) P. Beauv.b.plantations with mixed grass and broadleaved weeds.c.plantations established in logged over rainforest and having vines, creepers and remnant woody broadleaved species as weeds.
