Neurogenic bladder dysfunction is caused by a variety of neuropathological conditions. Its symptoms may mimic nonneurogenic urinary disorders, thus specific urodynamic diagnosis is indispensable. Therapy is aimed at protecting the upper urinary tract and improving the patient's quality of life. Neurourology has enhanced understanding and treatment of this dysfunction.
