摘要:

The thunderclap you hear when a supersonic plane flies overhead is the signal to you that the air is getting out of the way of the plane. It is called "sonic boom." This violent signal is a shock wave. What is a shock wave? When does a shock wave occur? Can the sonic boom be eliminated by some new discovery? How does a shock wave break windows and knock down walls?
