One teacher in Hertfordshire has brought physics ‘alive’ for his students, as well as bringing together other departments. Simon Bullen built his own seismometer out of his technology ‘scraps’ and about £50 of electronics. Now his students can see earthquakes happening all over the world, understand plate tectonics and see a ‘real-life’ application of electronics and physics applied and working.
