Acroneuria evolutaKlapálek, 1909, redescribed from the holotype, is found to be conspecific withA. melaFrison, 1942. A new species,A. frisoni, is named forA. evoluta)sensu Frison, 1942(, and details of its penial armature based on scanning electron micrographs are given.
