摘要:

As part of the continuing comparative evaluation of medical equipment sponsored by the UK Health Departments, an evaluation of electrocardiographs is being carried out within the Oxford Regional Health Authority. Safety and performance assessments are being made by the Regional Engineer's Department and user assessments are being carried out at a number of hospitals within the Region.Recently, details of a further four instruments have been released (‘Health Equipment Information [H/], No. 107, {October 1982’]). These are the Cambridge VS-550, the Fukuda Denshi FD-13, the Cardisuny 501F, and the Kirby Lester ECG 30. Earlier‘HEFs (No. 91 published in March 1981 and No. 100 published in April 1982) contained the results of the evaluation of eight other electrocardiographs, seven of which are still on the market in the UK. Instruments covered were the Cambridge T5-E, Hewlett-Packard's 1500B, the Nihon Kohden5151E, the Philips CR100, the Hellige Simpliscriptor EK13, the San Ei IE 21, and the Siemens Cardiostat 701; the Evaluation Summaries section of'HEF 107 also contains updated references to the other ECG recorders still on the market. Please note that the following material is Crown Copyright; the editors are grateful to the DHSSfor permission to publish this.
