SummaryAn acute urticarial rash may be the first sign of hepatitis B. A patient is described with an acute urticarial rash caused by hepatitis B. The pathogenesis of the urticarial eruptions is an immune complex vasculitis. Hepatitis B surface antigen is one of the components of the formed complexes.
