The main result of this paper is that for the hard sphere kernel, the solution of the spatially homogeneous Boltzmann equation converges strongly in L1to equilibrium given that the initial data f0belongs to.This was previously known to be true with the additional assumption thatwhich corresponds to bounded initial entropy
