&NA;A case of cancer of the sigmoid colon in a young adult was presented. Except for fever, the other presenting symptoms of rectal bleeding, abdominal pains, change of bowel pattern, palpable mass in the abdomen and diarrhea are common to young and older age groups alike. The prognosis is less favorable in the young, and therefore thorough investigation should be done in the young as well as in older patients who have these symptoms.
