Direct CP violation in decays such asB−→D0K−are sensitive to the CKM angle &ggr; since these decays allow the interference ofb-quark toc-quark andb-quark tou-quark transitions. To determine &ggr; in this way, one must simultaneously extract the strong phases in the system. In this talk, I will discuss the measuring &ggr; through the use of various 2 and 3 body decay modes of theD0as well as the possible impact ofD0mixing. Such methods should find natural applications atB-factories and hadronicBfacilities. ©2000 American Institute of Physics.
