In this paper we give a partial answer to a question posed by Lazard concerning regular sequences of mi-nors of an m×n matrix, m ≤ n (cf. [4, Remarque 6] ). We prove, namely, that for m = 2 or m = n-2, all regularizable sequences of minors (cf. below for precise definitions) become in fact regular once we apply a suitable elementary transformation to the matrix.
