摘要:
AbstractScience, technology and mathematics education is of fundamental importance and requires high quality teachers. Strategies are put forward for increasing the number and quality of STM teachers, improving the inservice training of these teachers and providing professional leadership and school policy to encourage excellence in teaching. Most countries in the Commonwealth cannot hope to tackle all these areas alone, but co-operation among professional organisations and national centres to develop and evaluate the strategies should be encouraged.
