SummaryWe report a case of cryptosporidiosis in a 22-year-old women admitted to our hospital with an episode of headache, fever, abdominal pain, nausea, and severe diarrhoea requiring rehydration. The aetiologic diagnosis was based on the repeated finding of numerous oocysts ofCryptosporidiumin the faeces. No other cause for the diarrhoea could be found and the patient recovered with symptomatic treatment. This is the first description of Cryptosporidial enteritis in an immunologically normal Belgian patient.
