Triple Regge predictions for diffractive proton events (pp ⇒ p + anything) are reviewed. The data appears to be in splendid agreement with this formalism but is as yet too pauce to allow quantitative fits. The published analyses make simplifying assumptions which are not justified by theory and/or experiment. The inclusive properties of the other particles produced in diffractive proton events disagree with fragmentation (nova) model predictions but appear very consistent with the multiperipheral suggestion that Pomeron proton scattering has similar inclusive structure to proton proton scattering.
