摘要:

CernaorEpinephelus sicanusis not a synonym ofE.orGarrupa nigritus, as was hitherto believed. The latter therefore, does not exist in the Mediterranean. It is doubtful ifE. sicanusreally is a valid species. In any case it is very close toE. caninusandE. goreensis; it may be identical to one of them.
