The relationship between a controllablexandaresponseycan often be described by the simple linear regression model. In the Linear Calibration Problem in addition tonresponses (y1, …,yn) corresponding to knowns (x1…,xn) there aremfurther responses corresponding to a single unknownx. The problem is to estimate this unknownx.
